Question 1

What do rear 2016 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 327 recorded sales of the 2016 HONDA CIVIC with rear damage, the median was $4,075, from $3,150 to $5,700. That is 6% above the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,900 a good price for this 2016 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

6244 comparable 2016 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $4,900 this one went 27% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage-nj mean for this HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 HONDA CIVIC was sold on a salvage-nj. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this HONDA CIVIC from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NJ - ENGLISHTOWN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 HONDA CIVIC. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 79,895 miles high for a 2016 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 113,892 miles across 6244 sales, so at 79,895 miles this one sits 30% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
