Question 1

What do mechanical 2016 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2016 HONDA CIVIC with mechanical damage, the median was $3,575, from $3,100 to $4,800. That is 7% below the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,900 a good price for this 2016 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

6170 comparable 2016 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $4,900 this one went 27% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA CIVIC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 HONDA CIVIC's pre-damage retail value at $13,375. It sold for $4,900 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 HONDA CIVIC. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 HONDA CIVIC was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

This HONDA CIVIC has mechanical and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
