Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2017 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 55 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA CIVIC with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,800, from $3,150 to $8,000. That is 17% above the $4,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,400 a good price for this 2017 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

7822 comparable 2017 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $4,100, spanning $3,200 to $6,000. At $10,400 this one went 154% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HONDA CIVIC was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HONDA CIVIC. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 50,508 miles high for a 2017 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 104,854 miles across 7822 sales, so at 50,508 miles this one sits 52% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Where was this HONDA CIVIC located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in HI - KAPOLEI. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
