Question 1

What do front end 2017 HONDA ACCORD models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 3509 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA ACCORD with front end damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,150 to $5,800. That is 2% below the $4,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,800 a good price for this 2017 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

7044 comparable 2017 HONDA ACCORD listings sold at auction for a median of $4,100, spanning $3,150 to $6,200. At $5,800 this one went 41% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA ACCORD sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HONDA ACCORD's pre-damage retail value at $13,028. It sold for $5,800 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HONDA ACCORD. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this HONDA ACCORD from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - ELGIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 124,115 miles high for a 2017 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA ACCORD listings at auction averaged 108,558 miles across 7044 sales, so at 124,115 miles this one sits 14% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
