Question 1

What do water/flood 2017 HONDA ACCORD models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 32 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA ACCORD with water/flood damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,150 to $5,600. That is 5% above the $4,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,550 a good price for this 2017 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

7198 comparable 2017 HONDA ACCORD listings sold at auction for a median of $4,100, spanning $3,150 to $6,200. At $4,550 this one went 11% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA ACCORD sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HONDA ACCORD's pre-damage retail value at $13,775. It sold for $4,550 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this HONDA ACCORD from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - MIAMI. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 83,519 miles high for a 2017 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA ACCORD listings at auction averaged 108,600 miles across 7198 sales, so at 83,519 miles this one sits 23% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 HONDA ACCORD?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
