Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2022 FORD RANGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 29 recorded sales of the 2022 FORD RANGER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $20,450, from $5,800 to $28,250. That is 156% above the $8,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $28,250 a good price for this 2022 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

624 comparable 2022 FORD RANGER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,000, spanning $4,450 to $13,850. At $28,250 this one went 253% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD RANGER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear-id mean for this FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 FORD RANGER was sold on a clear-id. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this FORD RANGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in ID - NAMPA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 52,465 miles high for a 2022 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 FORD RANGER listings at auction averaged 59,575 miles across 624 sales, so at 52,465 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
