Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2021 FORD RANGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 30 recorded sales of the 2021 FORD RANGER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $11,800, from $6,300 to $26,250. That is 59% above the $7,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $28,250 a good price for this 2021 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

1332 comparable 2021 FORD RANGER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,400, spanning $4,200 to $12,000. At $28,250 this one went 282% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD RANGER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 FORD RANGER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this FORD RANGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WV - SHINNSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 33,622 miles high for a 2021 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 FORD RANGER listings at auction averaged 65,661 miles across 1332 sales, so at 33,622 miles this one sits 49% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
