Question 1

What do rear end 2021 FORD RANGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 112 recorded sales of the 2021 FORD RANGER with rear end damage, the median was $7,200, from $4,700 to $11,300. That is 1% below the $7,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,800 a good price for this 2021 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

1336 comparable 2021 FORD RANGER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,300, spanning $4,200 to $12,000. At $7,800 this one went 7% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD RANGER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 FORD RANGER's pre-damage retail value at $23,528. It sold for $7,800 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 FORD RANGER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this FORD RANGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 63,760 miles high for a 2021 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 FORD RANGER listings at auction averaged 65,795 miles across 1336 sales, so at 63,760 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
