Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2021 FORD RANGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2021 FORD RANGER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $11,750, from $6,300 to $21,250. That is 61% above the $7,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,650 a good price for this 2021 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

1336 comparable 2021 FORD RANGER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,300, spanning $4,200 to $12,000. At $6,650 this one went 9% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 FORD RANGER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this FORD RANGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - NEW ORLEANS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 FORD RANGER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 128,270 miles high for a 2021 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 FORD RANGER listings at auction averaged 65,795 miles across 1336 sales, so at 128,270 miles this one sits 95% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
