Question 1

What do side 2019 FORD RANGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 186 recorded sales of the 2019 FORD RANGER with side damage, the median was $7,300, from $4,200 to $10,000. That is 4% above the $7,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2019 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

1758 comparable 2019 FORD RANGER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,000, spanning $4,050 to $10,400. At $3,500 this one went 50% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this FORD RANGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - CHICAGO HEIGHTS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 FORD RANGER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 142,258 miles high for a 2019 FORD RANGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 FORD RANGER listings at auction averaged 82,100 miles across 1758 sales, so at 142,258 miles this one sits 73% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2019 FORD RANGER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with side damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
