Question 1

What do rear end 2020 FORD MUSTANG models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 214 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD MUSTANG with rear end damage, the median was $7,700, from $4,450 to $14,800. That is 13% above the $6,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $19,700 a good price for this 2020 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

2199 comparable 2020 FORD MUSTANG listings sold at auction for a median of $6,800, spanning $3,850 to $14,000. At $19,700 this one went 190% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD MUSTANG sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD MUSTANG sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 FORD MUSTANG's pre-damage retail value at $78,637. It sold for $19,700 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 FORD MUSTANG was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

How far is this FORD MUSTANG from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IA - CEDAR RAPIDS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,000 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $650-$950, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
