Question 1

What do water/flood 2022 FORD MUSTANG models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2022 FORD MUSTANG with water/flood damage, the median was $8,300, from $5,400 to $14,100. That is 3% below the $8,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2022 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

1589 comparable 2022 FORD MUSTANG listings sold at auction for a median of $8,600, spanning $4,350 to $16,900. At $8,700 this one went 1% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD MUSTANG sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 FORD MUSTANG's pre-damage retail value at $39,702. It sold for $8,700 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This FORD MUSTANG has water/flood and rollover damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this FORD MUSTANG from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 12,474 miles high for a 2022 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 FORD MUSTANG listings at auction averaged 41,786 miles across 1589 sales, so at 12,474 miles this one sits 70% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
