Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 FORD MUSTANG models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 35 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD MUSTANG with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $5,150, from $3,250 to $12,000. That is 8% below the $5,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2017 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

2403 comparable 2017 FORD MUSTANG listings sold at auction for a median of $5,600, spanning $3,550 to $10,200. At $7,900 this one went 41% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD MUSTANG sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this FORD MUSTANG from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - LEROY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD MUSTANG sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD MUSTANG's pre-damage retail value at $18,675. It sold for $7,900 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

What does a clean title mean for this FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD MUSTANG was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.
