Question 1

What do rear end 2016 FORD MUSTANG models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 233 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD MUSTANG with rear end damage, the median was $4,850, from $3,300 to $8,700. That is level with the $4,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this FORD MUSTANG from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OK - OKLAHOMA CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 450 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$550, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD MUSTANG. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 162,215 miles high for a 2016 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD MUSTANG listings at auction averaged 97,841 miles across 2412 sales, so at 162,215 miles this one sits 66% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 FORD MUSTANG come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1FA6P8CFXG5317288?

Accepted Answer

1FA6P8CFXG5317288 identifies this specific 2016 FORD MUSTANG in grey with a 5.0l 8 engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
