Question 1

Was $4,375 a good price for this 2015 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

264 comparable 2015 FORD MUSTANG listings sold at auction for a median of $6,200, spanning $4,050 to $9,900. At $4,375 this one went 29% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a mv-907a-ny mean for this FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 FORD MUSTANG was sold on a mv-907a-ny. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this FORD MUSTANG from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - SCHENECTADY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 34,091 miles high for a 2015 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 FORD MUSTANG listings at auction averaged 90,056 miles across 264 sales, so at 34,091 miles this one sits 62% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2015 FORD MUSTANG. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2015 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
