Question 1

Was $8,000 a good price for this 2015 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

267 comparable 2015 FORD MUSTANG listings sold at auction for a median of $6,200, spanning $4,050 to $10,000. At $8,000 this one went 29% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD MUSTANG sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2015 FORD MUSTANG's pre-damage retail value at $8,450. It sold for $8,000 — 5% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clear (california) mean for this FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 FORD MUSTANG was sold on a clear (california). A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This FORD MUSTANG has transmission damage and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 46,343 miles high for a 2015 FORD MUSTANG?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 FORD MUSTANG listings at auction averaged 90,070 miles across 267 sales, so at 46,343 miles this one sits 49% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2015 FORD MUSTANG come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with transmission damage damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
