Question 1

Was $5,300 a good price for this 2017 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

1657 comparable 2017 FORD FUSION listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,075 to $5,300. At $5,300 this one went 41% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD FUSION sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD FUSION's pre-damage retail value at $11,355. It sold for $5,300 — 53% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage certificate mean for this FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD FUSION was sold on a salvage certificate. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this FORD FUSION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TN - NASHVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 400 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $350-$475, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This FORD FUSION has all over and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 79,960 miles high for a 2017 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD FUSION listings at auction averaged 87,721 miles across 1657 sales, so at 79,960 miles this one sits 9% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
