Question 1

Was $7,800 a good price for this 2014 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

27 comparable 2014 FORD FUSION listings sold at auction for a median of $4,325, spanning $4,000 to $7,250. At $7,800 this one went 80% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD FUSION sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2014 FORD FUSION's pre-damage retail value at $11,623. It sold for $7,800 — 33% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a cert of title-salvage mean for this FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 FORD FUSION was sold on a cert of title-salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2014 FORD FUSION. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this FORD FUSION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - MINNEAPOLIS NORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 88,443 miles high for a 2014 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 FORD FUSION listings at auction averaged 123,361 miles across 27 sales, so at 88,443 miles this one sits 28% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
