Question 1

Was $12,000 a good price for this 2017 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

1656 comparable 2017 FORD FUSION listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,075 to $5,300. At $12,000 this one went 220% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a cert of title - salvage (p) mean for this FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD FUSION was sold on a cert of title - salvage (p). A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this FORD FUSION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AZ - PHOENIX. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 380 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $325-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD FUSION. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 36,375 miles high for a 2017 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD FUSION listings at auction averaged 87,694 miles across 1656 sales, so at 36,375 miles this one sits 59% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This FORD FUSION has damage history and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
