Question 1

What do rear end 2016 FORD FUSION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 76 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD FUSION with rear end damage, the median was $3,450, from $3,000 to $4,550. That is 4% below the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD FUSION was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this FORD FUSION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - CAHOKIA HEIGHTS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 121,250 miles high for a 2016 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD FUSION listings at auction averaged 81,893 miles across 477 sales, so at 121,250 miles this one sits 48% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD FUSION. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
