Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 FORD FUSION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 20 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD FUSION with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,150 to $7,500. That is 11% above the $3,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,900 a good price for this 2016 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

477 comparable 2016 FORD FUSION listings sold at auction for a median of $3,600, spanning $3,050 to $5,000. At $8,900 this one went 147% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD FUSION sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this FORD FUSION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - NEWBURGH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a clear mean for this FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD FUSION was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 65,713 miles high for a 2016 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD FUSION listings at auction averaged 81,889 miles across 477 sales, so at 65,713 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
