Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2018 FORD FUSION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 439 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD FUSION with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $10,100, from $4,900 to $12,600. That is 138% above the $4,250 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2018 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

2111 comparable 2018 FORD FUSION listings sold at auction for a median of $4,250, spanning $3,150 to $10,900. At $8,500 this one went 100% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD FUSION sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD FUSION was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 36,399 miles high for a 2018 FORD FUSION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD FUSION listings at auction averaged 76,568 miles across 2111 sales, so at 36,399 miles this one sits 52% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Where was this FORD FUSION located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in PR - TOA BAJA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
