Question 1

What do front end 2017 FORD FOCUS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 109 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD FOCUS with front end damage, the median was $4,350, from $3,125 to $10,400. That is 2% above the $4,275 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD FOCUS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this FORD FOCUS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - EBENSBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD FOCUS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 99,716 miles high for a 2017 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD FOCUS listings at auction averaged 72,140 miles across 251 sales, so at 99,716 miles this one sits 38% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was COMMUNITY BANK. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
