Question 1

What do hail 2017 FORD FOCUS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD FOCUS with hail damage, the median was $3,375, from $3,050 to $5,500. That is 22% below the $4,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,950 a good price for this 2017 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

255 comparable 2017 FORD FOCUS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,300, spanning $3,100 to $10,000. At $4,950 this one went 15% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD FOCUS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD FOCUS's pre-damage retail value at $15,031. It sold for $4,950 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 88,005 miles high for a 2017 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD FOCUS listings at auction averaged 71,383 miles across 255 sales, so at 88,005 miles this one sits 23% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD FOCUS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD FOCUS was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
