Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 FORD FOCUS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 15 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD FOCUS with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $3,500, from $3,000 to $6,000. That is 17% below the $4,238 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,000 a good price for this 2016 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

187 comparable 2016 FORD FOCUS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,238, spanning $3,150 to $9,200. At $3,000 this one went 29% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD FOCUS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD FOCUS was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this FORD FOCUS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - COVENTRY TOWNSHIP. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 130,711 miles high for a 2016 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD FOCUS listings at auction averaged 78,329 miles across 187 sales, so at 130,711 miles this one sits 67% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
