Question 1

What do front end 2017 FORD FOCUS RS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD FOCUS RS with front end damage, the median was $6,000, from $3,550 to $10,400. That is 18% below the $7,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,150 a good price for this 2017 FORD FOCUS RS?

Accepted Answer

35 comparable 2017 FORD FOCUS RS listings sold at auction for a median of $7,300, spanning $3,750 to $10,500. At $8,150 this one went 12% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD FOCUS RS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this FORD FOCUS RS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WA - SPOKANE VALLEY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 54,528 miles high for a 2017 FORD FOCUS RS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD FOCUS RS listings at auction averaged 67,727 miles across 35 sales, so at 54,528 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD FOCUS RS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
