Question 1

Was $5,700 a good price for this 2017 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

255 comparable 2017 FORD FOCUS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,300, spanning $3,100 to $10,000. At $5,700 this one went 33% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD FOCUS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD FOCUS's pre-damage retail value at $25,508. It sold for $5,700 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a parts vehicle bill of sale mean for this FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD FOCUS was sold on a parts vehicle bill of sale. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE START PROGRAM" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE START PROGRAM is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD FOCUS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This FORD FOCUS has all over and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

How far is this FORD FOCUS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - MINNEAPOLIS NORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
