Question 1

What do hail 2016 FORD FOCUS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 20 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD FOCUS with hail damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,150 to $4,800. That is 9% below the $4,238 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $20,850 a good price for this 2016 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

187 comparable 2016 FORD FOCUS listings sold at auction for a median of $4,238, spanning $3,150 to $9,200. At $20,850 this one went 392% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD FOCUS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 FORD FOCUS's pre-damage retail value at $32,850. It sold for $20,850 — 37% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD FOCUS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 143,040 miles high for a 2016 FORD FOCUS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD FOCUS listings at auction averaged 78,329 miles across 187 sales, so at 143,040 miles this one sits 83% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This FORD FOCUS has hail and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
