Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2016 FORD F250 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 46 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD F250 with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $5,200, from $3,200 to $11,500. That is 20% below the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,300 a good price for this 2016 FORD F250?

Accepted Answer

1029 comparable 2016 FORD F250 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $3,450 to $14,200. At $12,300 this one went 89% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD F250 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 FORD F250's pre-damage retail value at $24,440. It sold for $12,300 — 50% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this FORD F250 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MI - WOODHAVEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD F250. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 41,379 miles high for a 2016 FORD F250?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD F250 listings at auction averaged 141,225 miles across 1029 sales, so at 41,379 miles this one sits 71% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
