Question 1

What do hail 2018 FORD F-150 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 371 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD F-150 with hail damage, the median was $9,275, from $5,300 to $15,200. That is 33% above the $6,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,925 a good price for this 2018 FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

11041 comparable 2018 FORD F-150 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,950, spanning $3,950 to $12,800. At $6,925 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD F-150 was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this FORD F-150 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in SD - LENNOX. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 1,300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD F-150. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 153,170 miles high for a 2018 FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD F-150 listings at auction averaged 121,421 miles across 11041 sales, so at 153,170 miles this one sits 26% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
