Question 1

What do hail 2018 FORD F-150 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 371 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD F-150 with hail damage, the median was $9,275, from $5,300 to $15,200. That is 33% above the $6,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,900 a good price for this 2018 FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

11041 comparable 2018 FORD F-150 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,950, spanning $3,950 to $12,800. At $8,900 this one went 28% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD F-150 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 FORD F-150's pre-damage retail value at $21,040. It sold for $8,900 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD F-150. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD F-150 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 84,956 miles high for a 2018 FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD F-150 listings at auction averaged 121,421 miles across 11041 sales, so at 84,956 miles this one sits 30% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
