Question 1

What do rear end 2017 FORD F-150 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 499 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD F-150 with rear end damage, the median was $6,600, from $4,050 to $11,300. That is 5% above the $6,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,800 a good price for this 2017 FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

6123 comparable 2017 FORD F-150 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,300, spanning $3,700 to $11,700. At $5,800 this one went 8% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD F-150 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD F-150's pre-damage retail value at $19,269. It sold for $5,800 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD F-150. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD F-150 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 109,409 miles high for a 2017 FORD F-150?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD F-150 listings at auction averaged 130,865 miles across 6123 sales, so at 109,409 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
