Question 1

What do left side 2023 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 63 recorded sales of the 2023 FORD EXPLORER with left side damage, the median was $11,100, from $6,300 to $16,500. That is 17% above the $9,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,900 a good price for this 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

2594 comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $9,500, spanning $4,750 to $16,800. At $8,900 this one went 6% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WI - PORTAGE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 850 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $550-$800, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This FORD EXPLORER has left side and suspension damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 42,022 miles high for a 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 39,667 miles across 2594 sales, so at 42,022 miles this one sits 6% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
