Question 1

What do side 2023 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 283 recorded sales of the 2023 FORD EXPLORER with side damage, the median was $9,500, from $5,100 to $16,500. That is 1% above the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

2701 comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $4,700 to $16,600. At $5,900 this one went 37% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

This FORD EXPLORER has side and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in GA - LOGANVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 50,360 miles high for a 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 40,325 miles across 2701 sales, so at 50,360 miles this one sits 25% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
