Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2022 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 45 recorded sales of the 2022 FORD EXPLORER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $16,250, from $12,600 to $25,750. That is 91% above the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $25,250 a good price for this 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

3265 comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,550 to $14,300. At $25,250 this one went 197% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WV - SHINNSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 58,356 miles high for a 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 55,817 miles across 3265 sales, so at 58,356 miles this one sits 5% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2022 FORD EXPLORER from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2022 FORD EXPLORER was listed at IAAI as lot 42967363 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
