Question 1

What do front end 2022 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1395 recorded sales of the 2022 FORD EXPLORER with front end damage, the median was $7,763, from $4,150 to $13,000. That is 9% below the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

3265 comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,550 to $14,300. At $6,900 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

Is 42,367 miles high for a 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 55,817 miles across 3265 sales, so at 42,367 miles this one sits 24% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This FORD EXPLORER has front end and electrical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
