Question 1

What does a on-salvage-ontario mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a on-salvage-ontario. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

This FORD EXPLORER has front and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 124,543 miles high for a 2021 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 74,826 miles across 3815 sales, so at 124,543 miles this one sits 66% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2021 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Where was this FORD EXPLORER located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - GARSON. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1FMSK8DH2MGA89869?

Accepted Answer

1FMSK8DH2MGA89869 identifies this specific 2021 FORD EXPLORER in red with a 2.3l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 300hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
