Question 1

What do rear end 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 615 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with rear end damage, the median was $7,250, from $4,750 to $11,000. That is 12% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,000 a good price for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

5117 comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $4,000 to $10,900. At $7,000 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $15,830. It sold for $7,000 — 56% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This FORD EXPLORER has rear end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 100,710 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 87,133 miles across 5117 sales, so at 100,710 miles this one sits 16% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
