Question 1

What do rear end 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 613 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with rear end damage, the median was $7,250, from $4,750 to $11,000. That is 12% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,300 a good price for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

5096 comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $4,000 to $10,900. At $6,300 this one went 3% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $19,698. It sold for $6,300 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 116,438 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 87,126 miles across 5096 sales, so at 116,438 miles this one sits 34% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This FORD EXPLORER has rear end and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
