Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 76 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $7,200, from $4,300 to $11,400. That is 11% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,700 a good price for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

5133 comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $4,000 to $10,900. At $7,700 this one went 18% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - HASLET. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 111,913 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 87,169 miles across 5133 sales, so at 111,913 miles this one sits 28% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Did this 2020 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
