Question 1

What do unknown 2018 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 32 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EXPLORER with unknown damage, the median was $4,850, from $3,350 to $6,500. That is 11% above the $4,350 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,800 a good price for this 2018 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

3386 comparable 2018 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,350, spanning $3,200 to $7,300. At $4,800 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - LOGANVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 116,622 miles high for a 2018 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 99,309 miles across 3386 sales, so at 116,622 miles this one sits 17% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2018 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with unknown damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
