Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 35 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EXPLORER with mechanical damage, the median was $3,650, from $3,150 to $5,500. That is 9% below the $4,025 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - GREENWOOD. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

Is 178,557 miles high for a 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 111,953 miles across 4146 sales, so at 178,557 miles this one sits 59% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2017 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 FORD EXPLORER from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 FORD EXPLORER was listed at IAAI as lot 46052620 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
