What do water/flood 2023 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Across 43 recorded sales of the 2023 FORD EXPLORER with water/flood damage, the median was $9,400, from $5,900 to $15,300. That is level with the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $15,300 a good price for this 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

2745 comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $4,700 to $16,500. At $15,300 this one went 63% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

This FORD EXPLORER sold without keys — does that matter?

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

The insurer put this 2023 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $41,600. It sold for $15,300 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 FORD EXPLORER. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

What does a non-repairable mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

This 2023 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.
