What do side 2022 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Across 313 recorded sales of the 2022 FORD EXPLORER with side damage, the median was $8,500, from $4,750 to $13,800. That is level with the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $13,600 a good price for this 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

3445 comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,550 to $14,200. At $13,600 this one went 60% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

The insurer put this 2022 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $45,848. It sold for $13,600 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 FORD EXPLORER. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

This 2022 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

This FORD EXPLORER has side and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
