Question 1

What do left side 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 149 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with left side damage, the median was $7,038, from $4,350 to $10,450. That is 8% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,050 a good price for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

5008 comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $4,000 to $10,900. At $7,050 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a salvage mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 49,496 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 86,782 miles across 5008 sales, so at 49,496 miles this one sits 43% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
