What do hail 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Across 204 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with hail damage, the median was $9,300, from $5,700 to $14,300. That is 43% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

What does a ab-active-alberta mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

This 2020 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a ab-active-alberta. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

This FORD EXPLORER has hail and all over damage — how does that affect it?

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Is 58,421 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 87,133 miles across 5117 sales, so at 58,421 miles this one sits 33% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Where was this FORD EXPLORER located?

The lot was held at IAAI in ALBERTA - ROCKYVIEW. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
