Question 1

What do front end 2017 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1528 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EXPLORER with front end damage, the median was $3,750, from $3,100 to $5,400. That is 7% below the $4,025 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER has front end and left & right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 128,237 miles high for a 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 111,953 miles across 4146 sales, so at 128,237 miles this one sits 15% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 FORD EXPLORER from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 FORD EXPLORER was listed at IAAI as lot 46180397 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
