What do mechanical 2019 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Across 13 recorded sales of the 2019 FORD EXPLORER with mechanical damage, the median was $4,775, from $3,700 to $6,100. That is 4% above the $4,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $3,700 a good price for this 2019 FORD EXPLORER?

1663 comparable 2019 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,600, spanning $3,250 to $7,600. At $3,700 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

The insurer put this 2019 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $12,980. It sold for $3,700 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

This 2019 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in MI - LANSING. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
