Question 1

What do all over 2022 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 67 recorded sales of the 2022 FORD EXPLORER with all over damage, the median was $6,850, from $3,550 to $10,000. That is 19% below the $8,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $11,100 a good price for this 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

3345 comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,450, spanning $4,550 to $14,200. At $11,100 this one went 31% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

Is 31,874 miles high for a 2022 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 56,093 miles across 3345 sales, so at 31,874 miles this one sits 43% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $39,889. It sold for $11,100 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.
