Question 1

What do rear 2023 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 135 recorded sales of the 2023 FORD EXPLORER with rear damage, the median was $12,375, from $6,600 to $18,550. That is 30% above the $9,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,800 a good price for this 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

2594 comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $9,500, spanning $4,750 to $16,800. At $9,800 this one went 3% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This FORD EXPLORER has rear and left & right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MS - GRENADA. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 180 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 26,333 miles high for a 2023 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 39,667 miles across 2594 sales, so at 26,333 miles this one sits 34% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
